The effect of temperature on the oxidation-reduction potential of the diphosphopyridine nucleotide system.

چکیده
A number of investigators have estimated the oxidationreduction potential of the diphosphopyridine nucleotide (DPN) system from equilibrium and thermal data (l-4). These data were obtained at several different temperatures ranging from 25-38”. Therefore, the results are not strictly comparable. The potential of the DPN system at 30” has been measured in this laboratory by potentiometric techniques (5). In order to compare the potentials determined at different temperatures and to calculate the standard enthalpy change for the reduction of DPN+, the temperature coefficient of the potentials of the DPN system has been measured and calculated for two standard states.

Influence of metallic chelates on the diphosphopyridine nucleotide oxidase and diphosphopyridine nucleotide-cytochrome c reductase systems.
The need for additional study on the specific relation between metallic ions and metabolic function, especially in the case of the diphosphopyridine nucleotide oxidase system, has been expressed by Mahler (1) and others. This is particularly indicated in view of the fact that a number of the known components of this system contain iron. While it is broadly concluded that iron compounds facilita...

متن کاملThe role of carburization temperature on the molybdenum carbide surface and their catalytic activity
The surfaces of molybdenum carbide were varied by changing the carburization temperature between 823 and 1123 K. The surfaces of the catalytic material were investigated using in-situ temperature program carburization followed by temperature program reduction and oxidation. In-situ temperature program oxidation (TPO) showed the surfaces of the catalysts contain a similar amoun...
متن کاملEffect of Silicon Carbide and graphite additives on the pressureless Sintering mechanism and microstructural characteristics of Ultra-High Temperature ZrB2 Ceramics Composites
The effect of SiC content, additives, and process parameters on densification and microstructural properties of pressureless sintered ZrB2– (1–10 wt %) SiC particulate composites have been studied. The ZrB2–SiC composite powders mixed by Spex mixer with 1-2wt% C (added as graphite powder) and CMC have been cold-compacted and sintered in argon environment in the temperature range of 1800–2100ºC ...

The aim of this work is to optimize the oxidation resistance of ZrB2-SiC-based composites with different additives. Effect of nine factors including SiC, Cf, MoSi2, HfB2 and ZrC contents, milling time of Cf (M.t) and SPS parameters such as temperature, time and pressure on oxidation resistance in four levels was investigated. Taguchi design was applied to explore effective parameters for ...
